Why should God give you more years to live? Why should He trust you with that dream job, that house, that car, that influence?
We cry out for blessings every day. We want recognition, reward, and honour. But how many of us want to honour Him in return?
We say:
"He didnโt bless me"
"He didnโt acknowledge me"
"I deserve more"
"Give me this"
Itโs all about me, me, meโฆ
But hereโs a kingdom truth: God is not sentimentalโHeโs strategic. He doesnโt pour into vessels that donโt pour out. He is a wise investor.
Jesus said in John 15:2, โEvery branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.โ
God is looking for fruit! For impact. For trustworthiness.
โWhoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much...โ (Luke 16:10).
And again, Matthew 25:29 says, โFor whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.โ
So ask yourself:
If God blesses you, will the poor be fed?
Will the gospel be preached?
Will your influence glorify Him or just inflate your ego?
Letโs be realโGod doesn't bless greed. He blesses purpose.
The blessings you're waiting for are tied to an assignment you're ignoring.
So today, check your motives. Repent if you need to. Return to your first love.
Be the kind of vessel God can trust with more.
Because in the end, itโs not about how loudly you pray, but how faithfully you steward.
