Episode 5 - When Oneness Means More – Sexual Intimacy (With Purpose)

Marital intimacy reaches its deepest expression through purposeful physical union; a holy gift designed for connection and covenant. Far from being merely physical, this sacred bond - when honored within marriage - fosters spiritual, emotional, and relational wholeness.

When most people hear "intimacy," their minds go here. And rightfully so. 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.

But here’s the key: it must be intentional, holy, and honored.

I won’t be sharing personal experiences in this post—some things are sacred. But what I can say is: we’ve seen growth in this area. And that growth came from being 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁. As Christians, we sometimes overlook sexual intimacy. We act as if it’s not spiritual. We shy away from teaching it. But sex is not sinful—it’s sacred when done God’s way.

“Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled…” — Hebrews 13:4 “They shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24
“Do not deprive one another except with consent… then come together again…” — 1 Corinthians 7:5

Sex within marriage is not just pleasure—it’s covenant. It brings healing, bonding, and restoration when honored properly. So don’t ignore it. Don’t neglect it. Marriage is not just about working together, praying together, or raising children. It’s also about 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁.
