Episode 6 - When Oneness Means More – Creative Intimacy (Let's Build Things Together))

True unity blossoms when couples intentionally build together - dreaming, planning, and creating side by side. This creative intimacy transforms marriage into a dynamic workshop where shared visions take shape, whether starting a family, launching ventures, or pursuing ministry.

Creative intimacy is not just about art, music, or innovation—though it includes all that.

It’s about 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 and deciding what you want to birth, build, or become—together. God is a Creator. And when we create together—be it a family, a ministry, a business, or a simple home project—we reflect His image.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9
“Write the vision and make it plain...” — Habakkuk 2:2
“Let them be fruitful and multiply…” — Genesis 1:28

Let me be honest: we didn’t stumble into this type of intimacy—we 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘵. My wife and I sit down and talk through life. We dream, we plan, we pray. We ask questions like:

“Where are we going?”
“How do we want to grow in business?”
“What’s our family plan—how many children, and when?”
“How do we want to serve in ministry this year?”

Whether I’m working on a book or exploring a new project, I don’t just spring surprises—because intimacy means building with, not just beside. There can be room for surprises—but not secrecy. If I start a new business and already hire people before we talk about it, I’ve missed the point of us.

Creative intimacy has taught us to value both individual dreams and shared vision. We meet in the middle, not because we always want the same thing, but because we want each other enough to find a way forward—together.
